Tech Conference

I spent some time recently at a tech conference where I got to closely observe the ‘Steve Jobs look’, sported by an elite set of geeks of the day. On the plus side, I did learn the answer to my question on SQL Server. InkTober – day 26

Blue Midnight

Halloween sketch in white ink #InkTober – day 25. Working in reverse is pretty fun!

Self Portrait with Pets

Day 3 – an #InkTober self-portrait. Sadly, I did not capture all of the floating pet hairs.

It’s InkTober (finally!)

I discovered the InkTober initiative about mid-October last year. It was fun – lots of messing around and monotone learning.  And now it’s finally back!

Shopping Time

It’s two weeks until Inktober. I’ve got to start thinking in monochrome again! From my sketchbook:

Daydreaming on the Hill

It’s the end of summer, when I don’t want to move.  I just want to sit and watch everything pass by.

Self Portrait: Dancing Fool

I need to do more – or even just some – self portraits.  In an attempt to get some others joining me in the effort, I have started a weekly challenge on Twitter: #MondaySelfPortrait @MonSelfPortrait  This is my first selfie as a dancing queen:

Cat-mint Conversations

This week’s #Colour_Collective challenge is mint green – a difficult color to blend in water colors.  I did some mixes using cerulean and hooker’s green and came close.  But then I did this quick sketch and decided to dabble in digital colorizing.  Not bad for a baby step.

Gouache Paintings

Two paintings done in late February 2015.  Preppy Cat was a response to a #colour_collective for a shade of orange that I no longer recall.
